A Few of their Favorite Things

To the tune of the ‘ol Sound of Music diddy…Sing with me!

Tea parties, muffins and visiting Daddy,
Princesses, boat rides and driving mom batty,
Snuggles and tantrums and golf “clups” that ping
These are a few of their favorite things.

Yeh…basically I’m a lyrical genius. Here’s a glimpse at our week in pictures, including all of the previously highlighted favorites.

This is Pavin, just minutes before his first boat ride and trip to Haig Point. Freddy’s been working A LOT and the kids and I were invited to stay in one of the Plantation Homes for the weekend.

We enjoyed a nice time, exploring the island a bit. Both kids loved all of the animals (deer, bunnies, woodpeckers, blue jays, crazy fox squirrels, and horses at the equestrian center). Gracen even enjoyed a private golf lesson with the club’s most handsome instructor. But being the nosey little kiddo she is, she was just as content to play around the town home. By the time we left, there was no door or cabinet left unopened or unturned by tiny little 3yr. old hands.

Here she is checking out the stairs and being “sassy”. About five minutes later she proceeded to fall down the bottom six steps and landed in the foyer. All was well…

Until this week Pavin has had two big loves…things that just really get him jazzed…his nutty sister and MAMA. He’s now added a third: blueberry muffins! (little, miniature crumbles of blueberry muffin, that is.) I have honestly never seen him so excited about something. This kid just loves to eat…guess he comes by that honestly.

Gracen's really been into cuddling on the couch lately. She’s also a big fan of night gowns, especially if they feature a princess or two.

Speaking of…we went to the absolutely sweetest little princess/dress-up birthday party for Gracen’s little friend Mary last week. Tiara cakes and cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, pin the lips on the frog, pink drinking goblets and a take home purse full of goodies…what more could you want? The little girls were precious and a lovely time was had by all.

Gracen was beyond thrilled when Payco accepted her request to join her (and Sleeping Beauty) for Party Tea. Mommy was allowed to come along as well.

Gracen got a really kick out of him using the dolly’s highchair. He just wanted to know where the real food was…pretend? What?

Another great week! Hope you enjoyed the same.
